Mercury Tire Pressure

Mercury Cougar, Mountaineer, Sable, Mariner, Milan, Grand Marquis

Accurate tire pressure for the Mercury Mountaineer, Sable, Cougar, Mariner, Milan and Grand Marquis will reduce gas consumption and cost, reduce tire tread wear and tire cost, enhance road safety, and lower carbon dioxide pollution.

Unlike many other car brands owned by Ford, the maker of Fiesta and Focus, Mercury wasn't acquired, but created from scratch by in 1939 as the Ford buyers' stepping stone to the luxury Lincoln cars and to compete against GM's Buick brand.

It is a shame that this is one of the brands that Ford decided to stop manufacturing after the economic downturn of 2008. But stopping production does not absolve Ford of the responsibility to continue to service the cars of people who trusted Ford.

Please telephone or write to the executives at Ford to urge them to provide better tire pressure monitors that can be retrofitted onto the Mercury Mountaineer, Sable, Cougar, Mariner, Milan and Grand Marquis that will be on the road for many years still to come. Without such devices these cars will continue to pollute the environment, not to mention be vulnerable to high fuel costs, faster tire wear and dangerous blow outs on the road.
